How does it feel to know that you've brought pirates back into the public eye more or less singlehandedly?

"'Course I did." He spreads his hands wide, grinning. "I'm Captain Jack Sparrow."

A beat.

"Feels fine."

Sam, do you still hope to get to law school someday?

Sam throws a quick glance over his shoulder toward Dean, who's talking to someone else across the room, before turning back around.

"I've got more important things to worry about right now. So no, I'm not going anywhere."

Sam... she has a lot of curiosity about, but APPPARENTLY, Lilly can manage restraint. At least around psychic/nightmares stuff. I blame Alain.

"Soon as I work out why all the rum's gone, lass."

Lilly does not look remotely guilty or shifty in the slightest, and is not suddenly hiding paper umbrellas behind her back.

Hey, give a girl year-round access to a Caribbean inlet, you're going to lose some rum.

"Yeeeah, we should definitely figure that out. Or! We could ignore that completely when more rum mysteriously shows up."

Sam gives Lilly a speculative look.

"I think I probably owe you a drink. At the least."

Sam: So, was the spinning catfish the most annoying hunt you've been on? (Discounting Dean. He's always annoying.)

"I find her to be proud, arrogant, short-tempered, and fiercely protective," Moiraine says, calmly.

A pause.

"As it happens, she reminds me of someone I know."

"Dean?" Sam grins. "Nah."

He takes a second or two to think about it, then rolls his eyes.

"The whole thing with the tulpa was pretty annoying, but that was more because of those website guys than anything else."

I'm writing about knitting, you see, as it's lately become a rather popular pastime for people in my age group.

"I just finished my dad's birthday present, and thought I might as well get to work on my thesis. I have quite a few interviews I'd really like to do, and have to travel a ways to do some of them. Since you were already here, I couldn't pass up the opportunity."
