"It seems plausible," she says, after some consideration. "He is not unaccustomed to being a conduit, of sorts, and to having power run through him. It is something that one can become able to manage, as well, once one is more familiar with such a feeling and able to balance it."

A faint smile, and she adds,

"It does not even matter too much that he is mortal, I do not think. I myself am, after all."
